The Mission committee is
involved in many activities that have the members out serving in the community.
We serve dinners to the Clarksburg Mission four times a year. The Children
Health Pantry, personal care items for the Ronald McDonald’s House in
Morgantown, Presbyterian Coffee Project, and the
support of a mission project in Honduras are among our many projects.
Children's
Health Pantry
(CHP)
The Children’s Health Pantry
provides basic health products for children who are victims of neglect,
homelessness, disaster, poor parenting, inadequate income, critical illness,
domestic violence, and other emergency or detrimental circumstances. The
pantry supplies the health products to agencies serving children, giving agency
workers additional resources for helping children and their families.
Youth
Program
We have a very active youth
program that is open to youth 12 and older. We encourage our youth to
bring their friends to all our meeting s and activities. We meet two times a
month on Sunday evenings. Our meetings are a blend of devotion fellowship
and include lock-ins, hikes, rafting, picnics and caroling. Our youth have
helped serve meals to the Clarksburg Mission. In addition each spring the
youth plan a Sunday Morning worship service.
